Libre, Dexcom and other sensors
Whichever sensor you use, reliable analysis depends on data arriving consistently, without long delays, gaps or conflicts between apps. If data transfer is unreliable, conclusions drawn from the graph will be less reliable too.
What to check
- Whether new readings arrive without a long delay.
- Whether there are long gaps or missing readings in the graph.
- Whether multiple apps or data sources conflict with each other.
- Whether timestamps match and there is no obvious time shift.
Common problems
- Data arrives after a long delay.
- The graph has missing readings or long gaps.
- Multiple sources run at the same time and interfere with each other.
- The sensor reports inconsistently, producing a broken or irregular graph.
What to do next
Once you have checked the data transfer path, you can review Nightscout and its reports to look for recurring glucose problems.
